Tsunan (津南町 Tsunan-machi ) is a town located in Nakauonuma District, Niigata, Japan.
As of 2003, the town had a population of 11,933 and a density of 70.08 persons per km². The total area is 170.28 km.
Due to its geographical location between the Sea of Japan and the surrounding alps it has one of the highest annual snowfalls in Japan. The area is known for its rice, sake, tomatoes, sunflowers, and buckwheat noodles. There are numerous ski resorts within the region.
A triennial art expo is held in the area.
